WCA Toolbox is a flight-planning aid only. You are solely responsible for verifying every input and result and for making every operational decision. Do not use the app as a substitute for current published procedures, ATC instructions, aircraft documentation, approved navigation data, operational judgement, or instructor guidance.
Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of WCA Toolbox (the “App”), provided by Roland Emrich (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Purpose of the App
The App provides calculations for wind correction angle, groundspeed, wind components, and holding-pattern planning. Calculations depend on the information entered by the user and on simplified modelling assumptions. Results are informational estimates and are not guaranteed to be complete, current, accurate, or suitable for any particular flight, aircraft, procedure, or operating environment.
Your responsibilities
- Enter accurate and current data, including course, wind, airspeed, and any magnetic-variation value.
- Independently check all results before use and compare them with authoritative sources.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, operating limitations, published procedures, and ATC instructions.
- Do not rely on the App for real-time navigation, aircraft control, safety-of-flight decisions, or emergency use.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, available at all times, or free from defects, or that any calculation will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roland Emrich is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the App or its results. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
Updates and availability
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We are not obligated to provide updates, corrections, or continued availability of the App.
Intellectual property
The App, its design, text, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or its content without prior written permission.
Apple and third-party terms
If you download the App through the Apple App Store, your use may also be subject to Apple’s applicable terms. Apple provides a standard end-user license agreement when no custom end-user license agreement applies. See the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Privacy
Your use of the App is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how the App handles data.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
